Sophie Holt

Sophie is a singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist currently based in Ojai, California. A classically trained guitarist who studied at Interlochen Arts Academy and the Thornton School of Music at USC, Sophie took to songwriting as an intensely personal and detailed form of self expression, having the powerful ability to communicate with a broader audience. As a lover of all kinds of music, her singing style varies between Folk, Soul, Jazz, Pop and Reggae.

Sophie performs regularly as a solo artist at various LA venues: including West Hollywood’s The Hotel Cafe, House of Blues, and Venice Beach’s WitZend. She has appeared singing back up vocals for ‘Band of Horses’ on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and has toured with singer songwriter Anais Mitchell’s Folk Opera “Hadestown”. Sophie’s voice is featured on several electronic albums by the artists ‘Kraddy' and ‘Govinda’.

Sophie is always looking for new opportunities to explore the medium of music whether it be teaching, recording, collaborating or performing solo. She is currently working in Ojai on her debut acoustic album and also on a collaborative contemporary EP with producer Oliwa Newell.
