Bio

  • Singer Songwriter Sophie Holt was born in Leicester, England, and currently resides in the Ojai Valley, California. She was raised on a wide range of music spanning many genres such as Folk, Soul, Pop, Classical, and Jazz. At USC she studied Classical Guitar creating a foundation that would serve her later in her own songwriting.  Her sound is reminiscent of singer songwriters of the 60's and 70's with a flare of Motown. Critics refer to her as the Norah Jones of guitar.  Her latest song "Nothing Lasts Forever” can be heard on the compilation Album "The Alchemy of Fire - Songs to heal the Ojai Valley” along side featured artists Lissie, Jack Johnson, Mia Dyson, Ted Lennon, Aaron Embry among other local legends. 

  • You can find her playing various public and private venues in Ventura, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara and Marin Counties.

  • She also sings lead vocals with an 8 piece Jazz band "Studio C" based out of Santa Paula.
