Bio
Singer Songwriter Sophie Holt was born in Leicester, England, and currently resides in the Ojai Valley, California. She was raised on a wide range of music spanning many genres such as Folk, Soul, Pop, Classical, and Jazz. At USC she studied Classical Guitar creating a foundation that would serve her later in her own songwriting. Her sound is reminiscent of singer songwriters of the 60's and 70's with a flare of Motown. Critics refer to her as the Norah Jones of guitar. Her latest song "Nothing Lasts Forever” can be heard on the compilation Album "The Alchemy of Fire - Songs to heal the Ojai Valley” along side featured artists Lissie, Jack Johnson, Mia Dyson, Ted Lennon, Aaron Embry among other local legends.
You can find her playing various public and private venues in Ventura, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara and Marin Counties.
She also sings lead vocals with an 8 piece Jazz band "Studio C" based out of Santa Paula.
